Information CharityWatch collects

CharityWatch may collect account identifiers, names, email addresses, organisation details, monitoring-access submissions, correction requests, support correspondence, Diligence Report intake details, uploaded report-delivery metadata, fulfilment notes, and technical session information required to keep users signed in and secure.

Payments and Diligence Reports

Card payments are processed by Stripe. CharityWatch stores limited payment-related identifiers and fulfilment information needed to link a purchase to an account, manage report delivery, handle refunds or disputes, and keep operational records. CharityWatch does not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or card expiry details.

Why information is used

Personal information is used to provide accounts, process report requests, deliver purchased reports, respond to enquiries, manage monitoring-access requests, investigate corrections, maintain service security, comply with legal obligations, keep audit trails, and improve the clarity and reliability of the platform.

Public charity data

CharityWatch may process public information about charities, trustees, officers, filings, regulatory records, and open-source context where that information is published by official or public sources. Public-source material is still presented proportionately and with source context where possible.

Retention, access, and user rights

CharityWatch keeps personal information only for as long as it is needed for the relevant service, legal, accounting, security, dispute-resolution, or audit purpose. Users may ask about personal information held by CharityWatch and request correction, deletion, restriction, or other rights where applicable.
